Scott D. Waldrup
Scott D. Waldrup is a long-time resident and native of Etowah County, Alabama. He graduated from Auburn University in 1990 with a B.A. in Finance before attending the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University where he received his juris doctorate in 1993. Scott also holds an M.A. in History from Jacksonville State University.
Scott is a certified Alabama Real Estate Commission continuing education instructor and often shares legal insights with his colleagues in the real estate industry. He also serves as an adjunct professor for the Paralegal Program at Gadsden State Community College. He is an active member of the Alabama State Bar Association.
Scott’s legal practice focuses on serving home buyers and real estate professionals as they navigate the complicated world of real estate law. Scott’s legal team also offers professional estate planning services.
Throughout his career, Scott has served as a partner and managing partner at several esteemed Northeast Alabama legal firms including the managing partner of Pruett & Waldrup, LLC.
An active member of the Gadsden & Etowah County community, Scott served on the Board of Stewards for the First United Methodist Church of Gadsden. He has served as president of the Etowah County Auburn Club and as a member of the Downtown Gadsden Board of Trustees. He was a founding member of the Gadsden Young Professionals.
Scott is married to Nanette Osborn Waldrup and has one daughter, Rachel Beth.
Joan Coker
Joan Coker has worked in the legal profession for 26 years. She has the experience and fortitude to make the process of closing a real estate transaction less stressful and more enjoyable than one might expect. Lenders and real estate agents trust Joan to comply with the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA) and know that when she is representing their interest in a closing, the entire transaction will be conducted in compliance with all rules and regulations. Joan also assists with probate court matters like probating estates.
Joan is a resident of Southside, Ala. She and her husband, Lamar, have two children, Peyton and Jacob. When not working you can find her outdoors living life to the fullest. Whether it is bike riding, playing pickleball, watching Lamar golf, or at her favorite team’s sporting event, Joan is always ready to enjoy life with her family and friends.
